Make a patch to repair the hole in the wall by cutting a scrap piece of drywall into a rectangular shape larger than the hole being repaired. Next, position this patch piece over the hole, and while holding the patch piece in place, trace a line around it onto the wall. Put the patch aside and cut along the traced line. You will now have a hole the size of your patch piece.

Prepare ROCK-IT™ clips for use by folding along the perforated lines (lines accommodate either _" or 5/8" drywall). Folded clips should look like figure #2. Peel the paper away from side A of ROCK-IT™ clips. Next you will be attaching the clips across from each other on the back of your patch. First, apply one clip with exposed adhesive (side A) to back of the drywall patch along one side, making sure to line up the edge of the patch with the fold in the clip (see illustrations #2 & #3). Use the same method to apply the other clip across from the one already in place.

Remove paper from side B of clips and insert patch into the wall opening until the perforated fold in the ROCK-IT™ clip is flush with the corner edge of the existing wall (see illustration #4). Apply pressure along the exposed clip area to ensure a flat surface and full adhesion to the wall (patch may be slightly recessed into the wall, but will be made flush by applying spackling compound). When applying tape and drywall compound, make sure to fully overlap your ROCK-IT™ clip with the tape (see dotted tape line in figure #5). Drywall or joint compound does not adhere well to smooth plastics. Follow manufacturers directions for spackling from your drywall compound container.
